The Ned London - Malibu Kitchen, Bank - Brunch
As soon as the Ned opened everyone was talking about it! I've decided to wait for restaurants to settle before visiting as I think that gives readers a more accurate view of their food and service on a regular basis. Although I have to admit the Ned did not disappoint. We went to Malibu Kitchen for brunch and spent 5 hours eating, chatting and catching up. It's a pretty perfect way to start the weekend.

For all you brunch lovers here are my recommendations:
You'll see most posts about the acai bowl at Malibu Kitchen so we thought we'd try everything but that.
9* The Tummeric pancakes are a must! The combo with nut butter and bananas is delicious.
6* Avocado on toast was a bit of a let down, it had too much lime and not enough flavour.
8* Courgette and almond flat bread - a fairly simple dish but it was tasty if a bit crumbly
8* Rolls - similar to Vietnamese spring rolls with raw vegetables these were delightful and complemented the coconut salad well.
8* Young coconut salad - don't get this if you don't like coconut but we loved this essential raw veg salad with a kick (I avoided the red side so that my face didn't turn the same colour).
In terms of sides:
7* hashbrowns - no brunch is complete without hashbrowns. We would have enjoyed these more if they weren't super oily. We got some fries to make up for it!
Berries and spinach were small portions and not really necessary but can complement the selection.
7* Raw chocolate cake for dessert - as you can tell we took a friend for her birthday and managed to find some space to finish this off and then order round II of brunch!
I'd definitely recommend checking it out. I believe it's the only restaurant that in't open in the lobby like the rest but you can still hear the live music happening.
